Who this policy covers
This policy explains what Bedrock Hayward Concrete and Masonry does with the information you give us when you use this website, call us or ask for an estimate. We're a masonry contractor in Hayward, CA, and we collect only what we need to answer your questions and do the work you ask for.
It applies to this site, starting from our home page, and to the messages, calls and estimate requests that come through it. If you want to know more about who we are before you reach out, our about page has that.
What information we collect
When you fill out our contact form, we get what you type in, which is usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the job and a short description of the work. We ask for the job address because we can't give you an in-person estimate without knowing where to come.
If you call us or email us, we keep a record of your number or address and what we talked about, so whoever follows up knows what you asked for and doesn't make you explain it twice.
When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically, such as your browser type, the device you're using, the pages you visit, how you found the site and a general location based on your internet connection. This doesn't tell us who you are by name.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files your browser saves so a site can remember things between visits. We may use them, along with analytics tools, to count visits, see which pages people read and find out what isn't working, so we can make the site easier to use.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features, like a form remembering what you typed, may not.
Our contact form is run by an outside form provider, so it may set its own cookies and handle your entries under its own privacy terms when you submit it.
How we use your information
We use what you send us for a few plain reasons:
To reply to your question or estimate request and set up a time to come out.
To prepare your estimate, schedule the work and keep in touch while the job is underway.
To keep records of the work we did, which helps if you call us back later about the same job.
To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
To meet any legal, tax or insurance obligations we have as a business.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't put you on outside mailing lists.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the people and services that help us run the business, such as our form provider, website host, analytics service and phone or email providers. They get what they need to do that job and nothing more.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or if the business is ever sold or reorganized, in which case the new owner would follow this policy for what we already hold.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. If you asked a question and never hired us, we usually don't hold onto it for long.
If we did work at your house, we keep job records longer, because they matter for warranty questions, repeat visits and the records a business has to keep. When we no longer need something, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. California residents have rights under state privacy law to know what's collected, ask for deletion or correction and opt out of the sale or sharing of their information, and we won't treat you differently for using any of them.
Since we don't sell personal information, there's nothing to opt out of there, but you can still ask us about anything we hold. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request, so we don't hand your details to someone else.
You can also stop any follow-up calls or emails at any time by telling us.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable steps to keep your information safe, like limiting who can see it and using trusted services to store it. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us things we don't need, such as bank or card numbers, through the form.
Children
This site is meant for homeowners and adults arranging work on a property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. The newest version will always be on this page, and if you keep using the site after a change, that version applies.
How to raise a privacy concern
If you have a question about your information, want to make a request or think we've handled something wrong, call us at (510) 264-7015 or reach us through our contact page. We take calls seven days a week, 7 AM to 11 PM, and you can expect a reply within 1 business day.
Tell us what you'd like us to do, and we'll walk you through what happens next.
